THE PLOT:
Sin City is a dark and gritty town, a town of criminal, dirty cops and mutants. This movie follows four characters as they
try to make sense of the world they live and die in. One such mutant character is Marv, a person you can run over several
times and he'll keep getting up asking for more. He goes up against a crazed mutant cannibal named Kenny protected by a criminal
cardinal named Rourke. A good cop must find a way to stop a madman who rapes and murders little girls, but it's the son a
sinister Senator.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Some say this movie is dark. No, night is dark, this is darn right bleak! Now I like the cast and the whole film noir look
to it or as they call it today Neo Noir. But there are several things that I can't get around, things that I can't suspend
my disbelief over. The days of beating a false confession out of someone died a long, long time ago. In this day and age,
even if Internal Affairs was also in the Cardinal's back pocket. There's still the Press and the FBI. Besides that, if he's
killed in the electric chair, then how can he be narrating the story? What he's telling God his story. Then there's the Senator
in the Bruce Willis story, how can he do that? When the President, the most powerful politician in the world can't get away
with a simple break in or banging a chubby intern? He can't! He'd never get away with hiding a pedophile Progeny. There's
also the grim look at the Church, this is way to dark for me. I look for some ray of hope in my movies. THE NOOSE!

VOLTRON'S OPINION:
This whole thing I agree with, if you have been a steady visitor to our little site the last couple of years then you already
know that I can't stand bad endings. Three out of the four stories have bad endings and I agree that the tactics the cops
used in this movie is illegal and can't happen in real life. If they wanted this like the forties, then girl in the end of
the first story shouldn't have a razr cell phone. That whole mixture of the old and the new never worked for me. THE NOOSE.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ CAST (The cast does a great job.)
+ LOOK (The black and white with just a trace of color, it's like watching a comic book come to life.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- UNREALISTIC (That kind of beating suspects is not allowed. Maybe I watch too much CSI, but it can't happen anymore.)
- DARK (Way, way to dark. No glimmer of hope.)
- BAD ENDINGS (Too many stories have bad endings.)
...AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (If you aren't big on this dark comic book, then you won't like the movie.)
