THE PLOT:
In the world of the vampire there is one that even the vampire fears. The Daywalker named Blade! Blade was born shortly
after his mother was attacked by a vampire, now gifted with strength, agility but able to move during the day he is a one
man crusade against the vampire scum.
But Vampire Lord Deacon Frost knows that the Daywalker is part of a legend, a legend that will give them the power to
move during the day and conquer the world.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
This is one of the best adaptations that came out of Marvel studios in a long time, Spider-Man was good but they still made
changes, I can see that the changes are minor. Blade has a beard, Wesley didn't, no biggie. Wish they had the vampire do
more vampire things and they could have toned down the language a tad. But those are minor, 9 STARS.
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree, honestly I don't that much about Marvel's vampire slayer but what I can see they did a great job in the adaptation
of the story and Wesley Snipes is perfect for the part, but considering they went for a African American Kingpin and Stones,
I wonder what kind of uproar would there be if they picked Johnny Depp to play Blade? That's my point, it's reverse bigotry
and it must stop. They're excuse the part should go to the best actor, but would they say that if the producers said Johnny
Depp was the best actor? I doubt it, they scream bigotry. The character should be whatever race the creator wanted him to
be weather it's black, white or purple. Sticking to the letter of the character is what's important, not PC BS. But as for
Blade, 9 STARS.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ FAITHFUL (It remained faithful to the comic without any major changes, always a big plus in my book.)
+ STORY (The story worked.)
+ CAST (The cast was perfect.)
+ CHARACTERS (The characters worked.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- CURSING (Too much cursing.)
- MORE VAMPIRE STUFF (Wish had more monster vampire stuff.)
