THE PLOT:
The Police strike is in full force and as feared a major riot and crime spree has hit Detroit and the worse infestation is
a new designer drug called Nuke and Kane the Nuke Czar is on the lose. Robocop has set his sights on bringing Kane to justice
or dispensing his own brand of justice. But OCP is planning on making a new kind of Robocop and is having all kinds of trouble.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
I like Robocop 2, it's even better then the original. The villain of Cain and that woman in OCP are both sick and twisted
people. The effects are incredible and the story works. There are minor story issues, they pushed the advertisements in
this too much. But other then that, this is a perfect movie. 9 1/2 STARS
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree with Zedd, I like Robocop but I love Robocop 2. It's soooo cool in sooo many ways. But if you didn't like the first
movie, then I can't say you'd like this one, 91/2 STARS as well.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORY (The story works.)
+ CHARACTERS (The character works.)
+ EFFECTS (Amazing effects.)
+ PACE (Never slowed down.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- TV SPOTS (I think they overdid the TV spots a tad.)
- FORECLOSING (Considering some of the buildings are privately owned and not by the city, I don't think a private company
can do that. Legally speaking)
...AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (If you aren't big on the first movie, this ain't for you.)
