The stress in Peter's life between trying to keep a job, and see Mary Jane's new play is putting a strain on his powers.
Bad timing for the accident that kills the wife of Otto Octavius also drives him insane and Doctor Octopus.
Doc Ock is out to recreate and perfect the experiment that killed his wife and doesn't care if he destroys New York City
to do it.
Now I'm not sure if Doc Ock ever had a wife or not, so I can't say if that's a re-write, but what I could have stand is that
he had more clothes on. The Dock Ock in the comic arranged to fit his robo-tentacles through his outfit. I think I would
have preferred that. 8 STARS.
I agree with Zedd said, plus again they went with the natural web shooters which I never approved of, but they are getting
better at the comic book movie. 8 STARS.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORY (The story works.)
+ ARMS (Doc Ock's robo tentacles are perfect.)
+ EFFECTS (Amazing.)
+ CAST (Does a great job.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- DOC OCK NEEDS CLOTHES (I think we could have done better then a topless Ock)
- STORY CHANGES (Not sure what the changes were this time, but the ones I know about I don't approve of.)
- FAN BASED (If you aren't big on the first movie, then I doubt you'll like this one.)
