THE PLOT:

Hellboy and the team are talked into going to check out a haunted mansion that a rich man wishes to turn into a bed and breakfast. What starts out as a publicity stunt turns into a fight for their lives.

Broom is keeping a dark secret and that the artifacts that the billionaire moved to the house is connected to a notorious vampire queen Erzsebet Ondrushko. The ghosts are many and the dangers are real, the question becomes, will any of them live to see the sun again?

ZEDD'S OPINION:

I really never had a chance to read the comic book but what I can see from the live action movie and this animated movie I think I'll like the comic. The story works, the creature effects are cool. That's the good part, now the bad part. The animation could have been better, not as bad as some of the animation these days but I think they could have done better. Silly question, what's up with Hellboy's legs? I don't think that's how his legs looks in the comic. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like they stuck is bottom half in a vat of Alum. But other then that, I give it a solid 8 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I agree with Zedd, I love the story, I love the cast, which is most of the cast from the live movies, which is so cool. The dialog works and the action is plentiful and for an animated thing they don't dumb anything down which I enjoy. I also agree with Zedd about the animation quality and the whole thing about Hellboy's legs, that's just freaky. 8 STARS as well.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ STORY (The story works.)
+ CAST (Most of the cast from the live movies that's cool.)
+ DIALOG (Cool dialog.)
+ PLENTY OF ACTION (Rarely drags.)
+ CHARACTERS (The great characters from the story.)
+ NOT DUMBED DOWN (Not treating children like idiots.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- ANIMATION QUALITY (The animation could have been worse, but it could have been better.)

...AND FINALLY...

- HELLBOY'S LEGS (I'm surprised he didn't fall over more considering he was top heavy with those puny legs.)
