Doctor Steven Strange was a cold and callus man who cared about big cases that would bring in big money for the hospital.
But that all changes the night a terrifying vision in the middle of the road causes him to crash his car, causing nerve damage,
robbing his skills as a doctor. Trying everything he ends up broke and wishing for death.
But ends up at the door of an place that teaches him what the vision meant and what powers he has inside him.
Now I'm not sure what they re-wrote or didn't re-write on this adaptation, but what I see is clear. They changed his outfit,
totally. Now I'm not sure if that's just because of the origin story or what, but it still didn't look like the outfit we
all know. So it gets a mark off for that. 7 STARS.
Okay, Doctor Strange is all about the magic. What's up with the sword play? Shadow creatures and swords sounds more like
a original script they adaptated to fit in the Doctor Strange universe. Mordo or Baron Mordo is the name was all wrong.
Just once, just once I'd like to see a Marvel adaptation that doesn't change EVERYTHING! Have they learned nothing from the
Elektra disaster? 7 STARS as well.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ ANIMATION (Perfect animation, as always with these movies.)
+ STORY (The story works, for the most part.)
+ CHARACTERS (the characters work for the most part.)
+ MONSTERS (Are pretty cool.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- COSTUME CHANGES (The costume changes are bad.)
- CHANGES IN GENERAL (It's Baron Mordo. Just once I'd like to see a Marvel movie without any re-writes or changes, is
that too much to ask? Perfect adaptation is possible, look at DEATH NOTE, DEVILMAN, even HELLBOY!)
- FAN BASED (If you aren't into comic book movies, then I can't recommend it to you.)
