THE PLOT:
In a post atomic war man find survival difficult and the value of human life has dropped further then the dollar. A man
with legendary powers the Fist of the North Star wonders this waste land looking for his lady love who was stolen from him
by his foster brother and Ken was left for dead.
Now baring the scars Shin left him and the nickname the man with seven scars he makes his way to Shin's fortress for a
final confrontation.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Now this is a good adaptation of the original manga and anime, the Producers of Daredevil and Super Mario Bros. can learn
something by watching it. It stays fateful to the story without changing any major plot points or characters. I do wish they
had the scene where Ken powers up which destroys his shirt and the seven scars glow. But that is really minor compared to
the whole movie. They also didn't have the guy that had the energy strings that sliced people like ham. That was cool. Again
a minor complaint. This is an exciting and entertaining live action American version and I think fans of the anime will enjoy
this. 9 STARS
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
Kung Fu action and heads exploding, if Bruce Lee starred in Scanners. But I digress, the guy who plays Ken is eerily close
to the cartoon, it's almost spooky. I wish they showed the scars more in the movie, but I did enjoy this and I am a fan of
the anime. 9 STARS as well.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ HEAD EXPLODING (An important part of the story which they did not leave out.)
+ KUNG FU ACTION (Plenty of action to go around.)
+ CHARACTERS (Stayed fateful to the anime and manga.)
+ EFFECTS (Impressive.)
+ CAST (The cast does a great job.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- GLOWING (I wish they had his shirt burn off him and his scars glow when he powered up.)
- CHARACTER LEFT OUT (The guy with the energy strings.)
...AND FINALLY...
- SCARS (I wish we got to see more of the seven scars.)
